Refund Policy

Detailing Department

At Detailing Department, we take pride in providing high-quality mobile detailing services. Because detailing is a time-based, labor-intensive service, our refund policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and protective of both our customers and our business.

1. General Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our services, refunds are not automatically issued once a service has been completed.

However, if you are dissatisfied with the quality of the work, we offer options outlined below.

2. Service Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your detail, you must contact us within 24 hours of service completion.

We may offer, at our discretion:

  • A touch-up or correction

  • A partial re-service

  • A partial refund (only in qualifying situations)

Photos of the issue may be required.

3. When Refunds Are Not Available

Refunds or free re-services will not be offered for:

  • Pre-existing vehicle damage

  • Wear, stains, or odors that cannot be fully removed

  • Issues reported after the 24-hour window

  • Situations caused by weather, animals, or environmental factors after service

  • Missed spots resulting from customer belongings left in the vehicle

  • Unrealistic expectations beyond the condition of the vehicle

We do our best to set clear expectations before work begins.

4. Appointment Cancellations & Refunds

4.1 Customer Cancellations

  • Cancellations made 24+ hours before your appointment may be refunded in full (if a deposit was paid).

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours may result in a non-refundable cancellation fee or forfeiture of deposit.

4.2 No-Shows

If we arrive and are unable to start the service due to:

  • No access to the vehicle

  • Incorrect location given

  • Customer absence

  • Unsafe working conditions

…any deposit is forfeited and is not refundable.

5. Weather-Related Refunds

If service must be postponed due to weather or unsafe conditions, it will be rescheduled, not refunded.
If we must cancel due to weather before arrival, any deposit is fully refundable or transferable.

6. Quality Limitations

Some defects cannot be corrected through detailing alone, including:

  • Oxidation or clear coat failure

  • Deep scratches

  • Etching

  • Permanent odors

  • Pet hair embedded deep in fabric

  • Hard water spots that have etched into glass or paint

We cannot refund for results limited by the condition of the vehicle itself.

7. Deposits

Deposits (if required) may be:

  • Applied to the rescheduled appointment

  • Refunded only if the appointment is canceled with sufficient notice
